When is CAD?
CAD will be held December 16 - 18, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency O'hare in Rosemont, Illinois.
What makes CAD special?
CAD is a weekend focused on some really epic special events, and really great special guests. Join us in our late night dances, go to panels with fantastic voice actors, and hang out with the best group ever. We want CAD to be a unique experience, where you get more time to hang out with our special guests and make new friends than you will get at other conventions.
Who organizes Con+Alt+Delete?
We're organized by the same people who have brought you Anime Midwest, such as Ryan Kopf and AnimeCon.org. We have over 10 years of experience in organizing the most high-quality convention experiences in the country. C+A+D is meant to be a smaller convention, but we are working on making it one of the most fun, intimate conventions you'll ever experience.
Is this like a mini version of Anime Midwest?
Usually yes! Most of the events and activities will be the same, but we try to have different guests at each to give you more of a chance to meet cool people. Everything is a little smaller, but it is also a lot cheaper to attend.
Tips for attending our Chicago Comic Convention
If you are a fan of comic books, animation, video games, or movies, then we have just the perfect event for you - Con Alt Delete! This event is held annually near the December holidays and we have thousands of anime fans join us for an amazing time.
One of the best reasons to attend is all our events - so take a good long look at the convention schedule once it is released to plan which events to attend. There are comedy shows, live performances, musical acts, and so much fun. The schedule is usually released about 1 month prior to the convention. Often there are 4 or 5 different awesome things happening at the same time because there are so many event spaces!
Take plenty of money, water, and snacks with you to enjoy during the weekend. Having a water bottle to keep hydrated is a great idea too. Many con attendees will come without much and be very exhausted by the end of the weekend: hydrating properly will help!
